How to understand HESLB Allocation percentages?
It is important to know your HESLB allocation percentage as it varies from one person to another by comparing the loan amount as specified in HESLB loan allocation guideline 2025/2026 with the actual amount you have being granted at the university you have been admitted to join.
For example: As per guideline the maximum amount of TU (tution fee) is Tsh 3,100, 000/=, if your loan grant allocated is that amount as in guideline then;
- If you admitted to university whose Tuition fee is Tsh 3, 100, 000/= means you have got hundred percent Tuition Fees Allocation
- If you admitted to university whose Tuition fee is Tsh 1,800, 000/= means you still have got hundred percent Tuition Fees Allocation
- If you admitted to university whose Tuition fee is Tsh 5,100, 000/= means you still have got hundred percent Tuition Fees Allocation but in this HESLB do not compensate the remaining amount of tuition fee you will need to pay Tsh 2, 000. 000/= from your family or any other private assistance
Again For example: As per guideline the maximum amount of TU (tution fee) is Tsh 3,100, 000/=, if your loan grant allocated is let’s say Tsh 1,800,000/= then;
- If you admitted to university whose Tuition fee is Tsh 3, 100, 000/= means you have got 58% of Tuition Fees Allocation (Take 1.8M divide by 3.1M times 100%)
- If you admitted to university whose Tuition fee is Tsh 1,800, 000/= means you still have got hundred percent Tuition Fees Allocation
It is my hope that these bullets have helped to you better understand the HESLB Loan Allocation percentages.
